Robert Wise’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC: 60th Anniversary!

Julie Andrews stars as Maria, a young nun in an Austrian convent who becomes the governess for the children of the widowed Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). As Maria begins to fall in love with the Captain, he is called back to active duty in the service of the Fuhrer, but wants nothing to do with Nazism, and begins making plans for his family to escape Austria.
