American singer-songwriter Robert Lester Folsom is a cult outsider music figure whose long-lost 1976 private-press album Music and Dreams gradually gained legendary status among collectors and psychedelic folk fans. Blending soft rock, folk, and dreamy pop melodies with deeply personal songwriting, Folsom crafted music that feels both intimate and timeless. After decades spent outside the spotlight, renewed interest in his work introduced a new generation to his heartfelt, melodic sound, leading to reissues, archival releases, and a celebrated late-career return to performing.
