Charitable donations welcome on the night!

We will be collecting money at the event for CITY HOSPICE so please bring some spare change with you.

City Hospice isn’t a traditional bedded hospice; instead, they bring compassionate care directly to people in their own homes, with some patients also choosing to visit their welcoming centre in Whitchurch, Cardiff. From what I’ve seen, their team takes the time to truly understand each person’s preferences—especially where they feel most comfortable and want to be cared for. They work closely with patients and their families, supporting whatever choice feels right for them. For many, that means staying at home, and City Hospice goes above and beyond to make that possible.

What stands out about City Hospice is how much more it is than people might expect from a hospice. Their centre feels bright, friendly, and full of life—a real sense of community in action. They harness the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of supporters across Cardiff, turning that collective effort into meaningful support for local families when they need it most.

If you would like to help them with their work you can donate here
https://www.cityhospice.org.uk/get-involved/donate/single-donation/ or you can donate cash on the evening of our concert.

Judith Rose - Pianist

Judith Rose is a soprano, pianist, arranger, voice coach and singing teacher who lives in Cardiff. Originally from Walsall, Judith arrived in Cardiff many moons ago to study at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. At the college she studied voice with John Mitchinson, piano with Mary Rees and composition with Mervyn Burtch. Judith enjoys a wide range of music, from Monteverdi to that of contemporary composers. Many of her former pupils now work in professional musical theatre, and current pupils benefit from training in vocal technique and a developing musicality, enhancing confidence and presentation in performance. Her approach to teaching and coaching is firmly rooted in the belief that music is good for wellbeing, and voices can be trained using many different musical styles and genres. Judith has been pianist for Roath Community Chorus since the choir’s inception.
