📣 Calling all creative minds, come join us for an afternoon of fun, connection, and creativity at Golden Cactus!
We’re excited to partner with Get2KnowNoke this summer and introduce The Roanoke Shuffle, a collaborative community art project dedicated to connecting creative professionals in the Roanoke area. This FREE event is all about exploring creativity, self-expression, and community in a playful and unexpected way.
♣ How it works:
Each participant will be given a playing card, which will serve as the inspiration for an original piece of artwork. From there, you’ll reinterpret your card through your own unique perspective, turning it into something entirely your own. There are no limits on medium or style—whether you work in illustration, graphic design, painting, photography, fashion, mixed media, handcrafts, or any other creative outlet, you’re welcome to participate.
This project celebrates human-made creativity, so we ask that all artwork be created without the use of AI tools.
As all the pieces come together, they’ll form a vibrant and diverse deck that reflects the talent, imagination, and individuality of our creative community. 🎉 This unique event is a chance to celebrate the many ways creativity connects us all; cheering on summer the best way we know how, with a cold brew in hand.
🎨 Note: Feel free to bring any materials you’d like to use for your piece: watercolors, crayons, pens, markers, or anything else that helps you create.
