About this Event

Dragstrip Guns only formed in April last year but are fast becoming known for their energetic live shows. Andy Knott (The Gasoline Queens, Psychobabylon) has been playing drums in original bands since 1986 on the South East and London circuit. Robbie G, Andy’s former bandmate in Psychobabylon, has made the step up from rhythm guitar and backing vocals to lead vocals in Dragstrip. He shares both lead vocals and songwriting duties with Stesh, a stalwart of the north east punk circuit since late 90s, formerly of the Drama Club Rejects, who also featured ex Wildheart Stidi and Nick Parsons, formerly of The Almighty. Mark Whitaker (Woke Up Dead) on bass, another regular on the Yorkshire punk circuit, completes the lineup. The band are heading into the studio to record their first EP in December, which will be available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms.

Carol Hodge is a seven-fingered, piano-pounding, Yorkshire-dwelling Singer-Songwriter. Think Regina Spektor meets Billy Bragg, but with fewer digits and a continuous existential crisis, sandwiched between bitter irony and relentless optimism. You won’t know whether to laugh or cry, but will definitely feel something. In case she looks familiar, Carol recently won Classic Rock’s Track Of The Week reader vote, is a long-term collaborator with Crass founder Steve Ignorant, plays keys for Texan country rock star Ryan Hamilton and has guested with Ginger Wildheart, Headsticks and The Membranes.

LoGOz are a four piece melodic punk rock 'n' roll band hailing from Ashington in Northumberland. Formed in 2012 by main man Peesh (vocals/guitar) through a love of The Wildhearts, Rancid, Ramones and Green Day and joined by Paul (lead guitar / backing vocals) and Carlos (drums), the band quickly gained a strong local following and became regulars on the North East gig circuit as well as around the country, playing with the likes of Dirt Box Disco, Eureka Machines, Sham69, The Rezillos, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, and in 2019 their heroes, The Wildhearts. Now joined by Peesh's son Kieran on bass guitar, the band keep going from strength to strength and are currently celebrating not only their 10th anniversary but also the release of their new studio album ‘Welcome To The Freakshow’, coming in December.

There have been a fair few Boss Caine shows over the last few years but it’s been a long, long while since a full band performance! Fresh off supporting Ginger Wildheart And The Sinners, and about to head into the studio with wunderkid producer Dave Draper (Nickelback, The Wildhearts) the band will be debuting new material from the forthcoming album, showcasing the results of an intense few years of plague-mandated solitude and songwriting. The result is a deeper, more sophisticated and updated take on the Boss Caine sound.
