Road to The World Series of Board Gaming - Ark Nova Tournament - DULUTH

Join us at Level Up Games to participate in one of our "Road to the World Series of Board Gaming" events!

This event will be focused on the following Ring Game: Ark Nova

Playing Ark Nova:

Event Competitors will play the Ark Nova base game.

All players at the same table will play with the same map (Base Game 0-8 or Tournament Map 1), which will be selected by WSBG tournament officials. Seating and starting player will be chosen at random.

Instead of using the interactive abilities Venom, Hypnosis, Pilfering, and Constriction found on some animal cards, players will use the alternate effects specified in the blue box on those cards: Inventive, Determination, Sprint, or Clever.

The Final Scoring Card “Biodiverse Zoo” will be removed from the game. The player with the highest victory point total will advance.

In the case of a tie, the tying player who supported the most conservation projects will advance. In case of a further tie, the tying player in the highest-numbered starting position (seat 4 in a four-player game) will advance.

About the game:

Players compete to design the most successful modern zoo, building custom habitats for a variety of magnificent animals and supporting critical conservation efforts around the world.

Event Details:

Event will be a number of rounds based on participation that will end with a single overall event winner. All rounds are single elimination.

Our event will be capped to a max of two rounds.

Cost: $15 pre-registration / $20 day of event registration (if tickets remain)

Prizes:

Overall winner will receive a code for $50 credit to registering for an event at WSBG. If the event gets at least 10 pre-registered sign-ups we will look to increase the code credit to the overall winner.

We will also give out gift cards and promos (when available) based on the overall number of participants. Details on gift cards will be announced prior to the event starting based on final event attendance.

Other special prizes might also be announced closer to the event such as a ring game giveaway for an upcoming tournament.

While this is a competitive event with prizing we want to focus on having a fun casual/relaxed atmosphere for this event. Please be respectful of other attendees and help to promote the board gaming hobby.
