Join award-winning author Rex Ogle for a discussion and reading of his new YA memoir, Road Home! In his vulnerable and gripping true story, Rex recounts being outed, kicked out of his home, and struggling to survive on the streets of New Orleans as a teenager. With an estimated 4.2 million youth experiencing homelessness in the U.S. (and 40% of those identifying as LGBTQ+), Rex's story is more relevant than ever and shares a message of hope despite overwhelming circumstances. Rex Ogle is the author of Free Lunch, Punching Bag, and Abuela, Don't Forget Me. He has written numerous books for kids, including graphic novels and books under his pen name, Rey Terciero.

Rex Ogle is the acclaimed author of nearly 100 books for young readers. These include Free Lunch, which won the YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award; Abuela, Don't Forget Me, a finalist for the YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award; and Punching Bag, a New York Public Library Best Book of the Year. Rex has also written graphic novels including Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy and Four Eyes. He has written under many pen names, including Rey Terciero. Rex lives in Los Angeles.
