Ro Mat Juliet is Mandali Talkies’ folk musical comedy written and directed by Amitosh Nagpal. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, the play begins as the classic tragedy before the actors refuse to perform its tragic ending. Blending Indian folk theatre, live music, Hinglish humour, and audience interaction, the production transforms one of literature’s most famous love stories into a joyful and thought-provoking celebration of love, hope, and the power to rewrite inherited narratives.
