Saving Lives at Sea in the Second World War
About this Event

The RNLI is a charity with over 200 years of history. Join us to learn about our Second World War stories and how crews continued to save lives at sea in the extraordinary conditions of war.

This talk is part of our Stories of Courage 1939-45 project. RNLI Stories of Courage 1939–45 is made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, the RNLI can share these stories.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

There are two ticket options for attending this talk, depending on accessibility requirements:

Ticket 1: Seminar Room

This is the primary venue for the talk. It is not accessible by lift. They can be accessed by stairs or using a stairlift.

· The stairlift is suitable for users who can self-transfer to the stairlift seat.

· The stairlift has a maximum weight capacity of 120kg.

· Additionally, there is a self-propelling wheelchair available on the same floor as the seminar room.

Ticket 2: Exhibition Room

This is an alternative fully-accessible venue within the building that has direct lift access. The talk will be broadcast live, with live Q&A facilitated by a member of staff. Please note the capacity for this room is limited so please only select this option for you / your group if necessary.
