In partnership with LSU’s Rural Life Museum, Women’s Work: “History Through Her Story”. Girls in the Boat is inspired by the true story of the U.S. women’s Olympic rowing team. These talented, determined women battle discrimination and prejudice in a male-dominated sport, forming unlikely bonds and overcoming obstacles. Their journey takes them from ridicule to the world championships, proving that teamwork and perseverance can break barriers of race and gender. A powerful story about friendship, resilience, and the fight for equality that reminds us what we can achieve when we unite with a common purpose.
