This beach safety workshop run by researcher, Dr Masaki Shibata, will introduce you to the beach and its beauty as well as its danger.
About this Event

Dr. Masaki Shibata, who is a beach safety researcher and a lifesaver at Tamarama beach, will host a workshop for international students, explaining some important information about staying safe on Australian beaches. You will learn how to read beach safety signage, learn what terms such as 'rip' and 'shore dump' mean and be introduced to our unique marine wildlife.

This workshop is for anyone who would like to know more about Australian beaches!

Please note this workshop is part of a research study and a short survey will be conducted during the session. If you do not wish to participate in the survey, it will not be mandatory.
