About this Event
RLUK Repositories Symposium:: Friday 8 May 2026
Securing, Sustaining, and Sharing the Future of UK Repositories
RLUK is bringing the wider UK repository community, stakeholders and funders together for a one day Repository Symposium in 2026. The symposium will focus on the key themes of shared services, sustainability and security. It will provide an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the impact which repositories, their content and libraries have made in the UK research landscape over the last 20 years but will also be clear-eyed and consider how we can best sustain and secure the future of our content, and best lead in our role of knowledge stewardship.
This symposium will help to shape an ambitious vision for our repositories in the UK. It will bring together key stakeholders to work collaboratively and help support the greater good which repositories represent.
Breakout Sessions
In the the afternoon two breakout sessions will provide an opportunity for richer discussion, drawing on the earlier presentations on:
- Securing the Future: Governance, Sustainability and Shared Services
- Trust, Integrity and Security in our Repository Futures
We invite colleagues to join us to share their expertise, and help us explore key priorities, collective activities and critical next steps to ensure we secure and sustain our repositories. You will be asked to choose your preferred breakout session when registering.
Who should attend?
The symposium will be of interest to senior library leaders and repository managers as well as research funders and key stakeholders and projects across the HE sector.
This event is open to all and you do NOT have to be from an RLUK member institution to attend.
