RIXARCH 2025 - LIGHT MATTERSIII. INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CONFERENCE
Light MATTERS is the theme for RIXARCH 2025. This unique event will not only celebrate the Nordic masters but also provide a platform to learn from their innovative practices.
This year, we highlight Gunnar Birkerts on his 100th anniversary. Dubbed the "master of light," Birkerts used light apertures and illumination for both practical and symbolic purposes—directing views, indicating movement, highlighting edges, filling spaces, and emphasizing ritual. His highly metaphorical architecture will be at the center of our discussions.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Martin Schwartz, Distinguished Professor in Lighting at Lawrence Technological University, co-author of the book Gunnar Birkerts, Metaphoric Modernist.
Dirk Jan Postel, architect of the Museum Voorlinden, Dutch Ambassador’s Residence in Beijing, and other projects, known for his exploration of space, function, and materials.
Per Olaf Fjeld, professor emeritus at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, former president of the European Association of Architectural Education.
Giulio Camiz, specialist in training and dissemination on the subject of daylight and architecture, speaker for VELUX Italia.
