Communication Solutions to Increase Accountability, Eliminate Problem Behaviors and Enhance Self-Leadership
Often the greatest frustrations for practice leaders are inconsistent or inferior team performance as well as having to deal with problem behaviors of some employees. In this session, you will learn how to communicate better to improve job performance and retain the best team members. The speaker teaches communication solutions to create a values-based culture and eliminate drama in the workplace. She uses real-world examples to show how to lead and manage by core values. Attendees will learn how to identify reasons for lack of accountability, levels of motivation, and whether employees have a sense of learned helplessness. Participants will walk away knowing action steps to take to increase accountability, improve engagement, effectively handle difficult behaviors, and unlock the problem-solving capabilities of the team. You will also leave knowing communication strategies to promote self-leadership and help staff embrace change.
Critical Leadership Roles That Improve Teamwork and Operational Efficiency
Are you frustrated with team members who lack initiative or don’t work well together? Do you wish your team were more efficient and productive? Do you face challenges with onboarding and training of employees? Have you ever promoted team members only to find they don’t excel in their new job roles? If you answered “Yes!” to any of these questions, this presentation is for you. In this interactive session, attendees will discover how to determine the answer to the questions, “Do I have a systems problem or a people problem, or both?” and “Why don’t team members take more initiative?” The speaker outlines critical action steps every leader needs to take to create a high-performance team and achieve hospital goals. She shares how to leverage the talent of your team and make sure the practice has systems in place that improve operational efficiency. Participants will leave knowing how to improve teamwork, employee onboarding, and training programs, as well as the development of managers so the entire team can contribute fully to the success of the organization.
