About this Event
St. Lucie has over 11,000 acres of protected land in the county. Let the Environmental Resources Department's award-winning Guided Nature Program series introduce you and your family to local wild spaces. Join an experienced guide, get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of St. Lucie County!
· Friday, Nov 7 – Riverside Trek at Ten Mile Creek Preserve (8:30am-10:00am) - This preserve site is unique as it affords a riverside view of the St. Lucie River from atop spoil berms created long ago, while looking down into riverine hammock woodland. This program features "hills" in the flatland of Florida, giving insight to the river's more recent history and how the movement of water changed the flora and fauna of this preserve.
