Riverside Healthcare 47th Annual Samaritan Event

During this year’s event, we will celebrate the impact your giving makes on quality care at Riverside. In addition, we will honor our recently named Samaritan of the Year, Maggie Frogge.

As a Samaritan Society member, you belong to a distinguished family of donors - thoughtful, compassionate friends of Riverside who want to have a significant impact on healthcare in our community. Each year, the Samaritan Event is held to give us, at Riverside, an opportunity to show gratitude for your continuous support.

The spirit of philanthropy has been at the heart of Riverside since its founding. Since 1959 when a handful of residents began collecting pledges to build this new hospital, gifts of all sizes have fueled the hospital's forward march toward innovative new therapies, excellence in patient care, and training the next generation of outstanding health care professionals.

Samaritan Event Details

1. Where is parking available for the event?

Parking will be available at the following locations: across from Paramount Theatre, behind the Majestic Theatre, Kankakee County Clerk lot. Rigo’s parking lot will be reserved for guests with limited access.

2. Is this an outdoor event?

Yes, this event will be held outside on the 100 Block of Schuyler Avenue. In case of inclement weather, the Majestic Theatre will be used. Indoor seating will also be available at Rigo's Place and Stefari Cafe.

3. Will there be seating available?

Guests will be able to enjoy the patio locations of both Rigo’s Place and Stefari Café, there will also be tables and chairs available on the street for guests to sit.

4. What is the dress code for this event?

Dress for this event is business casual. More information below if needed:

Appropriate business casual outfits for women include a skirt or dress slacks, blouse, sweater, twinset, jacket (optional).

For men, appropriate business casual attire is dress slacks or chinos, a button-down shirt, dark socks, polo shirt, dress shoes, and jacket (optional).

5. Can anyone attend the event?

Members of the 2021 Samaritan Society contributing $250 and more will qualify for an invitation for two. Leadership level donors and above ($1,000+) may invite an additional two guests. Fair market value is $20 per attendee. This is an adult-only event.

6. Will food be served at the event?

Hors d'oeuvers and bar service will be available.
