Train-based walk
Leader: Martin, meeting at Walk Start
Transport to Walk Start: 09:55 train (Transport for Wales service) from Manchester Piccadilly.
Meet Point: By the ticket barriers or on the platform at Piccadilly station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train or at the station in East Didsbury.
Suggested Ticket: GM Rail Ranger £8.20, or if you want to travel to East Didsbury by tram, System One One Day Train & Tram Ticket £9.70
Walk Start: East Didsbury Railway Station at 10:05
Waypoints: Fletcher Moss, Stenner Wood, River Mersey, Manchester Road, Abney Park, Ladybrook Valley, Bramhall Park, Carr Wood, Ladybrook Valley, Mirrlees Fields.
Return Services: From Hazel Grove: x:22/23 & x:51 until 22:51, then last train at 23:35.
Extra: No toilets at Walk Start and none en route until Bramhall Park in the second half of the walk. Please use the toilets at Piccadilly Station as the outward journey lasts just seven minutes. No dogs please, other than registered assistance dogs. Optional drinks at a pub at the end of the walk.
