About this Event
Community BlueScapes is providing training opportunities for people interested in learning more about their local rivers by becoming riverfly monitors.
Monitoring involves entering a river or stream to carry out a kick sample, so you do need to feel physically capable of that, and you will need some wellies or waders. Once you’ve completed your training we can signpost you to your local co-ordinator to get you started.
Riverfly monitors aim to carry out a survey at their site on a monthly basis, where they collect a sample of the invertebrate life and submit their counts to a national database.
