Join Alton People's United by the fountain at the Alton Amphitheater at 1pm on October 4th. We will have speakers by the amphitheater fountain to begin the event. When opening speakers are done, we will march from the amphitheater to the foot bridge over Landmarks Blvd and turn left onto Broadway towards Lincoln Douglas Square and end the march there. It's about a half mile walk and we will march on the sidewalk like we did on June 14th, we will NOT be marching in the street. Anyone unable to walk can drive to the square where we will have a couple more speakers to close out the event. We will have water and first aid on hand, and a safety team in orange vests like we did for the No Kings March on June 14th. If you need assistance or have questions, look for our team in high vis vests. There are public restrooms at Riverfront Park near the amphitheater, and there are public restrooms at the Alton Visitors Center across from Lincoln Douglas Square. We encourage attendees to support the local shops and restaurants in the area either before or after the event. Hope to see you all there!
