🤿 See mountain streams from a wild new perspective! River snorkeling is a growing hobby that makes you feel like a fish while exploring a world just under the surface of the water that you won’t believe until you see it.

🛝 Meets at the picnic shelter on Murphy-Oakley Community Center's campus
🪙 $20 for ages 18+, $10 for ages 11-17 includes all equipment, instruction, and transportation

APR is excited to host this fun class again despite major damage to our city's rivers and streams. We have a long history of offering this course and it has never taken place in the French Broad or Swannanoa. There are several beautiful rivers within a short drive of Asheville that are safe for snorkeling and offer incredible opportunities to see local aquatic life.
Specific locations for river snorkeling classes are chosen based on water conditions and clarity closer to the date of each class to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. The exact location is shared with all registered participants before the class.
