AdvertisementSan Antonio BCycle and the San Antonio River Authority are taking you on an exploratory jaunt along the San Antonio River. Led by the San Antonio River Authority, this ride will expand your realization of how our city plays an important role in protecting the world!
Meet the Hosts:
STEVEN SCHAUER, Director of External Communications at SARA will explain the restoration project and how it affects the migrations of pollinators.
LEE MARLOWE, Sustainable Landscape Ecologist at SARA will point out the native plants found on the river that assist pollinators on their migrations.
MICHAEL GRAMLEY, Recreation Superintendent at SARA will point out the various activities you can enjoy thanks to the river restoration project.
Riders will meet at the BCycle docking station at Confluence Park between 5:30 & 6:00pm. Wheels down at 6pm sharp under the main pavilion of Confluence Park, no exceptions and no refunds granted if you are late.
All riders will be required to be off the trail by 7:30pm. The ride is approximately 5-6 miles but, we will gauge our final distance by the time to ensure we end together as a group at Confluence Park by 7:30pm.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. The River Restoration Ride is strictly limited to 20 riders. Riders will be required to use a pedal assist BCycle, which is included in your non-refundable registration fee. BCycles will be equipped with a pair of binoculars in the basket. The binoculars are on loan by the San Antonio River Foundation.
The $10 registration fee will be donated to the San Antonio River Foundation so, they can continue their mission to preserve, enhance, and transform the River Basin as a vibrant cultural, educational, ecological, and recreational experience.
