River Reels Rendezvous is back! Your favourite night of the fall is coming up, and it’s the perfect way to wrap up another awesome paddling season; hanging out with friends, watching short films on the big screen, and celebrating all things river.Join us at The Plaza Theatre in Calgary for an evening of stories from the water. You’ll see films about river surfing, whitewater kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, expedition paddling and more.
Event details:
When: Wednesday, November 12, 2025 | 6:30–10:00 PM (films start right at 7, so come early for good seats)
Where: The Plaza Theatre, 1133 Kensington Rd NW, Calgary
What to expect:
A night full of community-made paddling films, great prizes, good vibes, and plenty of inspiration for next season.
The concession will be open with popcorn, drinks (yes, there’s beer and wine), and snacks. We’ll have a couple of short breaks where you can stretch, top up your drink, or grab a few more raffle tickets.
The raffle:
This year’s raffle is seriously good. You can even grab your tickets online ahead of time to save money and skip the line. Grand prizes include:

-NRS Neutron Packraft (2026 model)
-NRS Ninja Pro PFD (with RallyCrew)
-Werner Surge Paddle (197 cm)
Plus tons of gear and swag!
Part of the raffle proceeds go to the Alberta River Surfing Association and the Alberta Whitewater Association, and the rest helps us keep River Reels running and growing for next year.
