River Rats Lapidary Club is going to be a welcoming community for anyone who loves rocks. Whether you’re hunting Lake Superior agates in a creek, cutting your first cabochon, polishing gemstones, or just wondering why you can’t stop licking cool rocks because you ran out of water and you can't wait to see it until you get home (Don't even try and say you don't)
We believe this hobby or profession should be accessible to everyone. No experience required. No gatekeeping. No judgment. Just curious people who love learning, exploring, and creating.
Join us for monthly meetups featuring:
• Rockhounding trips and local collecting spots
• Lapidary demonstrations and hands-on learning
• Cabochon cutting, polishing, and jewelry making
• Mineral and crystal identification
• Guest speakers, workshops, and show-and-tells
• A community that celebrates every great find—from landscaping rocks to museum-worthy specimens.
