About this Event

Join award-winning local outdoor educators, , for a guided nature connection experience along one of the most scenic parts of the lower River Findhorn, as part of the 's River Connected Communities programme.

With pick up via minibus from Findhorn Community Centre (09:30) and Grant Park, Forres (09:45), we’ll head out to explore The Meads of St John on the edge of Darnaway Forest, which is home to some of the most awe inspiring ancient Sessile Oak trees in the watershed - said to be over 700 years old.

This is a rare opportunity to soak up a gently facilitated journey along the River Findhorn, designed to help create perspective and deepen our sense of connection with the river, its wildlife, and the natural world.

The session will end with gathering together for a warming drink around the campfire to reflect and connect about our experiences, before travelling home.
Open to ages 18+ only.
