The Ritson School Project is exploring how to use the former elementary school site to serve the community.
About this Event

The Regional Municipality of Durham is exploring the potential use of the former Ritson School property and welcomes community service providers to share ideas at this engagement workshop.

The property, located at 300 Ritson Road South, Oshawa, is an opportunity to help meet the current and future needs of residents through community programming and by providing affordable and market-rent housing.

The site contains a former elementary school built in 1923 and 1928, that operated until 2012. The unused parts of the property offer an opportunity to introduce mixed-use, sustainably built housing.

Community service providers are invited to provide feedback on July 18 at the Spark Centre (2 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa, Ontario, L1H 8C1) The workshop will run from 10 a.m. to noon

This is an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas for the future of this project. Register now!

If you are a business owner and would like to participate, please register for the Local Businesses Workshop.
