Rite of the Womb - a sacred feminine blessing from the Amazonian tradition

We are delighted to welcome Gabriela Borgognone, originally from Argentina and now based in Australia, for this beautiful and meaningful ceremony before she facilitates our Winter Biodanza Workshop on Sunday.
Gabriela is a Certified Munay-Ki Practitioner and has been sharing this sacred Rite with women and communities for many years.
The Rite of the Womb is a sacred feminine blessing from the Amazonian tradition, shared through the lineage of the Munay-Ki Rites.
It is a gift of life and healing that belongs to every woman who chooses to receive it.
There is an Andean prayer that says:
"The womb is not a place to store fear or pain.
The womb is a place to create and give birth to life."
Our womb is our centre of creation, intuition and manifestation. Over generations, it can carry inherited memories of fear, grief, anger and suffering through our female lineage.
Receiving the Rite is an invitation to remember the wisdom of the womb—a place to nurture life, beauty and new possibilities. A place where we can plant the seeds of what we wish to create for ourselves, our families and future generations.
Another beautiful teaching that accompanies this Rite reminds us:
"Every woman who heals herself heals all the women who came before her and all the women who come after her."
This ceremony is an opportunity to reconnect with our feminine essence, honour our lineage, release what no longer serves us, and remember the creative power that lives within us.

Although the Rite itself is received individually by women—including women who have had a hysterectomy, as the transmission is energetic rather than physical—this ceremony welcomes everyone.
Men are warmly invited to participate because we all come from a womb. We all carry the imprint of our beginnings and the stories of our lineage, and we all benefit from healing our relationship with the feminine.
