In this workshop participants will learn the ropes of turning an image of their choice into a one or two color Riso Print. E-mail an image ahead of time (to [email protected]), bring one in, or make a quick in-person drawing. Then learn how to take that image, digitize it, and send it to print on our Riso machine! Each participant will get approximately 30 minutes to make a print edition of their image.
What is Riso Printing? Known for vibrant colors and a signature texture, a Risograph (or Riso) machine is a digital, stencil duplicator. Kind of like a mix between the screen printing process and a photocopier, the convenient electronic device both creates stencils and outputs spot-color prints. It's the best of both digital and traditional printing techniques! Automated process with a hand-made feel!
$35 Workshop fee
Instructor: Dan Crane
Participants must be 18 and older.
