About this Event
About this event
Print your own Holiday Risograph Cards at the Soapbox Community Printshop and Zine Library in Philadelphia! Spread holiday spirit with your own design printed in such a way that makes your friends and family cheer- "That's so riso!" In this introductory workshop, find out what a Risograph is, how it works, how to prepare your design, and explore risography.
Participants can bring a prepared image or work on one during class. Over the 3 hours, we'll cover the basics of burning masters, digital vs. analog art, multi-color printing, registration, Riso printing quirks, maintenance, and other best practices. All students will get 30 copies of their art, plus assorted extra print samples, by trading with other workshop participants. This workshop will give you the basic skills to incorporate Risography into your art practice at The Soapbox!
