So many people in our region are looking for ways to help all the folks in the mountains who have lost so much to Hurricane Helene. We at Doodad Farm are trying to do our part, too, so we’re putting together a live music fundraiser featuring some our region’s most accomplished musicians. All of the funds raised will go directly to the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church (WNCCUMC). These congregations have been working hard to help those affected by the flood, and they are promising that every dollar raised goes straight to those who need help. WUNCCUMC will be here to collect donations during the show and to inform us all about their work. Whether you can make it to our concert or not, please consider donating to their cause at https://www.wnccumc.org/.PERFORMERS:
So far we have the following musicians volunteering to perform for us, and we thank them all for their generosity:
Laurelyn Dossett
Fiddlin’ Faye Petree
Jeff Wall
The Eversole Brothers
Bryan Toney and Tim Fogarty
Sandra Lawson
Barry Gray and Isabel Valls
Dean and Riley Driver
OTHER DETAILS:
• Kids, dogs, and all your friends are always welcome. Doodad Farm is a safe place for everyone.
• Please bring cash or credit cards for your donation.
• This is an outside, farm like setting (thus the name). Dress like you’re going camping and you’ll be fine.
• We never allow weapons of any sort at the farm. If you think you need to protect yourself, you’re in the wrong place.
• Bring your own beverages, and consume them responsibly. Of course snacks and picnics are welcome.
• If you’re a sitter, bring a chair. We have some extras if you forget.
• Smoking is permitted as long as you don’t bother anyone or do any butt-dropping.
• Please clean up after yourself and treat the Farm as if it’s your own (in a way, it is!).
• A portable toilet and drinking water will be available.
• Let someone help you park, especially if the field is wet.
Doodad Farm is at 4701 Land Road, Greensboro, NC 27406
