RISING COLOURS: A Mississauga Queer Arts Showcase

Join host Angelo Brown for a summer evening of celebrating our city's vibrant and often overlooked 2SLGBTQ+ community. Open to all ages and free refreshments provided!

Time: Doors + Vendors 6:30PM, Performances 7PM

Please note: The venue and food provider for RISING COLOURS is the Affirming Hearts in Action Committee at Christ First United Church of Canada. The event will be taking place inside the church's auditorium. As an Affirmed United Church, the organization has made many public statements regarding their dedication to celebrating and uplifting the 2SLGBTQ+ community. RISING COLOURS has ensured that the event will be completely secular with no religious imagery present in the event space. We would like this information to be upfront to potential participants, as both the committee and event leaders are aware of the painful history between queer people and the Church.
