Legendary local party promoters Animals Dancing bring together Japanese techno icon DJ Nobu and anything-goes selector Kenji Takimi for an all-day dance party that will creep into the witching hours to close out our Japan in Focus music program in style.
In their decades behind the decks, DJ Nobu and Takimi have seen scenes and styles come and go. Through it all, Nobu's abstract techno has held firm at both his Future Terror nights and underground raves around the world. Expressive, atmospheric and grounded in groove, Takimi's sets are unparalleled in their ability to alter moods, bridge gaps and blow minds. Be our guest.
Preceding them are Millú, a stalwart of the local scene and supporter of even its most under-the-radar releases, Melbourne mainstays Otologic and Garden Variety DJ—who’s anything but.
