Rishiraj Kulkarni is a solo independent artist based in India & The Netherlands, and his musical relationship began with the tabla in 2005. Over the years, he continued receiving incalculable guidance from Ustad Zakir Hussain and continues with Pandit Yogesh Samsi. Being an alumni of A.R. Rahmans KM Music Conservatory, and further graduating from Middlesex University in London, Rishiraj, over the years, has delved into amalgamating sounds of his instruments, such as the Handpan, Rav Vast, Tabla, and many more, along with intricate sounds from nature, using the Maschine.
With two albums to his name, Home and The Woods, and annual tours across India, Europe & the UK, Rishiraj comes to Mumbai for the last leg of the tour to share his journey and the relationship he has with his instruments.
खोया मैं . . . India Tour is dedicated to his guru Ustad Zakir Hussain and is a journey across India where Rishiraj & his team carry all the equipment which you will see at the concert, and drive across the country performing in cities and further stopping by in remote villages and offering their music for free to the rural population, while also being aware of the ecological impact they are creating along this journey.
With an estimated route of 12,000 km on the खोया मैं . . . The India Tour will span from January to April 2025.
Rishiraj & his team await to have experiences across the country and meet beautiful souls along the journey- such as yourself.
Much love.
