Indivisible Sauk Prairie Hosts Community Screening of "Rise Up, Sing Out"— A Free National Concert for the First Amendment.
Indivisible Sauk Prairie will host a free public community watch
party for "Rise Up, Sing Out"; a national concert event celebrating
and defending First Amendment freedoms, on Sunday, June 14 at
6:30 pm at the Freethinkers Hall, 307 Polk St. in Sauk City.
A community potluck will take place prior to the film starting at 5:15
p.m. Bring a dish to pass and your own beverage. Plates, silverware, and napkins will be provided.
"Rise Up, Sing Out" is a live concert presented by the
Committee for the First Amendment, featuring performers
including Jane Fonda, Bette Midler, Patti Smith, Rufus
Wainwright, Julia Roberts, Lily Gladstone, Wilson Cruz,
Peppermint, and more. The concert will stream live from Town
Hall in New York City beginning at 6:30 CT and run approximately
90 minutes.
Hundreds of watch parties are taking place in homes,
bookstores, theaters, parks, and cafes across the country on June
14 as communities come together to celebrate free speech, a free
press, and the other freedoms protected by the First Amendment.
