Rise to Potential is a hands-on, interactive experience designed to expose students to a variety of career paths led by professionals who look like them and represent their community!
We are inviting business owners, professionals, and community leaders to participate in an interactive career exploration event designed to expose students to real-world opportunities.
Requested Industries:
• Business and entrepreneurship
• Health & medical fields
• Trades (HVAC, welding, plumbing, auto tech)
• Law enforcement & legal careers
• Media, photography, film, & design
• STEM (coding, robotics, engineering)
• Education & youth services
• Art, writing, music production, & performing arts
• Finance & banking
• Sports & athletic training
• Nonprofits and community leadership
• And Etc, Etc!
See role models who look like them thriving in their fields
Purpose:
To expose students—especially Black and minority youth—to a wide range of careers represented by professionals who look like them, helping them see what’s possible, build confidence, and spark early interest in futures they may have never imagined.
Who it works:
Professionals from all fields set up stations and activities that allow students to see, touch, try, and experience what those careers look like in real life.
Students walk freely from booth to booth, engaging with hands-on demonstrations, short challenges, and conversations with professionals who reflect their community and identity.
