RISE Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
About this Event
Please join RISE for our grand opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
The RISE Center will serve as a centralized community hub for New Americans in the greater Syracuse region, providing a one-stop-shop where refugees and immigrants can connect with the resources, training, and support needed to build self-sufficiency and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
By bringing workforce development, education, health navigation, and community services together under one roof, the RISE Center will reduce barriers that often prevent New Americans from fully participating in the local economy. RISE will help individuals develop job-ready skills, improve English, increase access to employment opportunities, navigate healthcare and other essential services, and pursue pathways toward greater economic independence.
The Center will also benefit Syracuse more broadly. Helping New Americans secure employment, increase household income, develop businesses, and obtain industry-recognized skills strengthens the local workforce, expands the regional talent pool, and increases household spending within the community. By supporting residents in becoming self-sufficient rather than dependent on emergency or public assistance, RISE helps transform newcomer settlement into long-term economic participation.
The RISE Center represents an investment not only in New American families, but in Syracuse’s future. It will create a lasting community institution that connects people to opportunity, strengthens economic mobility, and helps ensure that New Americans are active contributors to the region’s workforce, neighborhoods, and economy.
