About this Event

RISE is an intentional community container rooted in ancient Mesoamérica culture and spirituality. Through somatic practices, guided mindfulness, and the intention of shared joy, together we'll journey into a place of unity and soothing expansion.

Welcome Reception:

Step into an immersive ambiance of rest and connection, and enjoy the vibrant surroundings as you are greeted into serenity with a welcome energy cleanse and refreshing tonic, setting the stage for an enriching journey ahead.

Mayan Cacao Circle:

Continuing the traditions of her Indigenous Elders, Caro Brown shares a Mayan cacao fire circle, celebrating joy and community with chocolate prepared by hand, in a container imbued with ancient wisdom and heart-opening connection.

Guided Mindfulness & Sensory Meditation:

Delve deeper into relaxation, presence, and embodiment in a guided somatic meditation practice, inviting you to explore your subconscious, surrender to new sensations, and deepen your connection to community.

Dance & Social:

Immerse yourself in a vibrant exploration of movement, play, and creative release in an alcohol-free dance space, featuring tropical rhythms and entrancing shamanic beats spun live by our house DJ.

*Throughout our event, guests will be invited to indulge in a nourishing harvest offering of organically sourced provisions, prepared lovingly to awaken the senses and support well-living.



ABOUT THE HOSTS ?

Carolina Brown:

Carolina Brown is an Apprentice at the School of Maya Medicine and Spirituality, (conducted by the Ik'nhas Kin'jha Indigenous Council in Miahuatlán, Tabasco, México), currently attending their 3 year program and studying Cacao Medicine's Spiritual, Traditional, and Scientific properties and uses. Transgender Woman, Prieta, LatAm, Mexicana, Costeña, Cumbiera, Singer, Musician, Writer, Thinker, Artisan, Indigenista.

She created her venture, 13 Kɘkɘw, to raise awareness about the real Human, Environmental, and Cultural cost of mass-produced chocolate. It is her goal to share with People Ethically sourced and Culturally Authentic Traditional Chocolate, and to Encourage them to share this Heart-opening Medicine with all their Communities.

Nico Sol:

Nico Solarte is a Colombian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, integrated mindfulness guide, and the founder and creative producer of Existt SoulCare.

Drawing on a varied artistic background, Nico combines a holistic approach to mindfulness and self-healing, committing themselves to curating inclusive and creatively enriching offerings that nurture mindfulness, play, and holistic well-being.



ABOUT THE ORGANIZER ?

Existt SoulCare is an inclusive self-healing and wellness collective elevating consciousness in community through creativity, mindfulness, and play. Since its foundation in 2021, the collective has curated dynamic programs, fostering awakened mindfulness within diverse communities across the GTA, and beyond.

With a focus on amplifying marginalized voices and transcending cultural boundaries, Existt SoulCarestrives to curate experiences that nurture understanding, empathy, and connection through collaborative efforts that celebrate diversity and cultivate a sense of belonging.

ABOUT THE VENUE ?

THiNKSPOT is a community meeting space nestled in the beautiful natural landscapes of Lowville, Ontario, within the heart of Walt Rickli's Sculpture Garden. Surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature, this city oasis offers you a chance to recharge, unwind, and embrace a feeling of serenity and surrender.

Free parking is available on site or across the street at Lowville Park.
