Information sharing has been a challenging topic within the health and care sector for years, with many successful stories but also many lessons learnt. Our conference aims to address the elephant in the room, with frank discussion of what is required from Data Protection/IG, Cyber Security Lead and also SIRO’s, Caldicott Guardians and DPO’s.

There is no denying our absolute reliance on technology nowadays when it comes to sharing, using, or processing information. We discuss this dependence and how it corresponds with the persistence and growing ferocity of cyber risks. There is still slow movement when it comes to Cyber Security Assurance and Information Risk Management in many organisations, and we would like to help change that.

We have organised this conference to get together to discuss and demonstrate how data protection, information and cyber risk management can go hand in hand, effectively and efficiently to achieve data protection compliance and protection from Cyber-attacks so that we can increase the public’s, trust on how data is used, made available and protected at the same time. With the shared purpose for us professional to enable access to the right information, at the right time, in the right place by right people.

The hotel is located 9 miles north-east from Birmingham city centre (about a 25 minute drive) and can be easily access from the M42 Junction 9 and M6 Toll (T3 or T4).

Free car parking is available.

Closest train station: Four Oaks (6 minute drive from Hotel)

Water, coffee, tea and biscuits/cakes will be served at set times throughout the conference.

A hot and cold buffet will be served for lunch.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Please note that we will require notification of any dietary requirements by 22nd February 2023. We cannot guarantee that provisions for your requirements can be made after that date. If you are booking tickets after 22nd February 2023, please check with us before booking, if you have any dietary requirements, and we will endeavour to make arrangements for this with the venue and let you know.

The hotel has agreed a corporate rate for overnight bookings for this event. This rate is £92 per double room per night. This is on a first come, first serve basis and room availability cannot be guaranteed. We suggest you book this directly with the hotel as soon as possible by calling their reception on 0121 308 3751, and notifying them that you would like to book as part of the conference on 9th March, with an agreed rate of £92 per night.

If you are staying on the night of 8th March, the hotel will be able to store your bags once you have checked out, until the conference has ended, however the hotel do not accept liability for this.
