Ripples for Peace is part of Ten Thousand Ripples (TTR), an ongoing public art and civic engagement initiative led by Changing Worlds, artist Indira Johnson, and a consortium of cultural and educational organizations. Using art as a catalyst, TTR encourages dialogue around peace, nonviolence, and social change.As a further exploration and engagement with the public, Ripples for Peace invites you to take part in a meaningful exchange—an opportunity to share your hopes and visions for a better world. We will provide the flags. You can write or draw your wishes either singly or join with others, adding your voice to a collective call for peace.
Bring your flag and your friends to the TTR site where the flags will be flown in a temporary public art installation at the Ten Thousand Ripples emerging Buddhas installation at Diversey and DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
1. Sign up
Email either of the artist facilitators with Ripples for Peace in the subject line:

Please include:
• Your full name and mailing address.
• Whether you’re participating as an individual or as a group (include # of people)
2. Receive Your Flag Kit
Weather-resistant flag materials will be distributed by mail or in person.
3. Create Your Flag
Use words or drawings to share your thoughts about peace—for yourself, your community, or the world. You can do this alone or with others at proposed community gatherings TBA.
4. Return Your Flag
Mail or deliver completed Ripples for Peace flags to: Ripple Studios Attn: PEACE, 915 Fowler Ave Evanston, IL60203

Please know this is not a mandatory donation. All are welcome to Ripples for Peace flag.
A drawing will be held for five 8x10” signed photographs (used in this invitation) to include all participants and will be announced at the reception.
