The Horicon Bank Ripon Summer Concert Series is proud to welcome The Glam Band to the Village Green on Friday, August 21st. The concert takes place from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Village Green in downtown Ripon, Wisconsin.
The Glam Band has been producing KILLER decadent 80s rock shows throughout Wisconsin for over 15 years. The band gets it name from the Glam Metal era of music, also known as Hair Metal or Pop Metal. It is a subgenre of hard rock and heavy metal, and is most known for it’s catchy hooks and guitar riffs. This style can be traced back to acts like Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Kiss, The New York Dolls, and Van Halen.
The passion and spirit that The Glam Band brings to the stage is unmatched in the world of cover bands. Combining an all star performing group with the costuming, hair and makeup of the 80s Glam Metal era creates a multi sensory experience for those attending the show. Anyone with an appreciation of 80’s rock will love this group and their energetic interaction with the crowd.
The concert series is organized by Ripon Main Street, Inc. and takes place at The Village Green which is located at the corner of Watson and Seward Street. A variety of beverages are available and participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
NO CARRY-INs are allowed in the park because beverage sales help cover entertainment expenses.
