Chicken Wire Empire, Wisconsin's critically acclaimed bluegrass band, returns to the Horicon Bank Ripon Summer Concert Series on Friday, August 11th. The concert, which is sponsored by Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, takes place from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Village Green located at the corner of Watson and Seward Street in the downtown historic district. Born from the Wisconsin jamband scene, Chicken Wire Empire rides the line between traditional bluegrass and the contemporary. Its members have spent a lifetime honing their craft, with deep roots in tradition and music throughout the midwest scene.
A variety of beverages are available and participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. NO CARRY-INs are allowed in the park because beverage sales help cover entertainment expenses.
