RiNo Sound Meditation & Mobility

Hello Friends! Welcome : ) My name is Kristina! Thank you for your interest in this event. Please read below for a brief overview:

Please arrive 10 minutes early.

Please dress comfortably. The studio provides plenty of props, but feel free to bring your own mat(s), blanket(s), cushion(s), pillow(s), eye cover(s), and or bolster(s) for the meditation. I highly recommend wearing loose clothing and socks.

We will utilize about 30 minutes to get warmed up, moving the hips, spine, shoulders, and limbs, to open and prepare the body for release. During our time together, I will present knowledge and exercises of the Korean Martial Art SunDo, as well as other practices common in Eastern cultures such as meditation, breathwork, yoga, and neurological strengthening activities. You will learn about systems within the body, as well as energy centers known as Chakras and energy channels known as Meridians. I will follow the warmup with a visualization and or breathing exercise to relax and ground your body before we begin the sound bath meditation.

During the sound meditation, it is common to experience cleansing, grounding, embodying, and awakening within your physical, mental, and emotional bodies. My metal singing (which are amplified) have rich overtones, range in notes corresponding with the solfeggio frequencies, and span several octaves. My crystal singing bowls are tuned to 432 hertz and range in frequencies which correspond with the 7-chakra system. You can expect to hear and feel the vibrations of each bowl and a number of combinations as well as new instruments from Nepal which I keep adding to my collection, including gongs, chimes, rattles, and drums : )
