Ring making workshop w/Mollie Paling

Come and learn how to design and carve your very own bespoke ring at Brighton coolest pottery studio The Mud House .

In the workshop you will be taught a range of techniques and processes demonstrated by Mollie Paling from FLUX jewellery.

You will carve and sculpt your own ring out of jewellers wax, using a variety of tools to explore and experiment with mark making, forming shape and surface texture. Don’t worry, everyone will start with a test piece allowing time to familiarise yourself with the material and methods of making. Once comfortable you will start to create your own ring individually inspired by your own ideas and personal taste. The ring can really be as dramatic or simple as you desire.

By the end of your session you’ll have a finished wax ring ready for casting.

*Extra wide/heavy rings may have additional cost added of approximately £30.

After the class the rings are then sent and cast in 100% recycled silver ( or recycled gold if desired, cost difference will be explained) Once cast, Mollie will polish them up in her workshop in Lewes and returned within 3-4 weeks either by collection from FLUX or post to your door. All levels and abilities are welcome.

Under 18's will need to be accompanied an adult.
