Right Whale Trivia and Happy Hour @Starland Yard
Each December marks the season when North Atlantic right whales (NARW) migrate south to calve their newborns off the coast of Georgia. Researchers estimate that there are only less than 400 of these whales left, making them one of the most endangered large marine mammals on the planet.
Every winter TIMSC hosts a multi-day agenda focused on protecting and educating about NARWs through the arts, sciences, and cultural projects. Check out the Whale Week 2026 schedule starting Nov. 30 and culminating in the Right Whale to Save Festival on Dec. 5.
Here's the thing: Protecting the NARW takes more than one week a year. That's why we're launching Whale Week 365, coming to a classroom or community center near you. We can't wait to share our newest teaching tool: A life-size whale you can walk through!
