Procom Middle East is hosting a two-day Rigging Course: Theory & Practice at our Dubai Training Center on 17-18 November. It’s based on ICOPER (version 2, 2022), the International Code of Practice for Entertainment Rigging, which informs Europe’s NRC assessment scheme.
The course is built for the three roles every rigging job depends on:
→ Ground technicians: a clear understanding of overhead operations
→ Venue management: spotting unsafe rigging and making sure designs fit your venue’s load capacity
→ Riggers: the responsibilities behind flawless, safe equipment installation
Over two days, we cover:
→ Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and Standards
→ Personal Protective Equipment: types and applications
→ Rigging accessories: slings and shackles
→ Rigging appliances: motors and hoists
→ Rigging structures: trusses and stages
→ Rigging practices: the good and the bad
→ Practical working tips and tricks
Classroom theory is balanced with hands-on practical sessions, in small groups and for all skill levels. Participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
