The three-day surf camp for ages 7-17 will take place in Pismo Beach, California on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, July 28-20, 2021.There will be surf sessions all three days from 9 AM - 12 PM. Siblings of T1D kids/teens are encouraged to register and join as well. Parents usually choose to hang out on the beach and watch and then take their campers home afterwards. You're also free to drop off and pick up! Space is limited, so register soon!
Indo Jax is the absolute best at what they do. These instructors are professionals and have experience teaching disadvantaged, medically fragile, special needs and even T1D kids and teens, how to surf.
Indo Jax believes that the ocean, and learning to surf, has profound healing properties and can build self-esteem. We have seen that kids/teens who take part in our surf camps inevitably move from a feeling of skepticism and reluctance around the ocean to empowerment and confidence, giving them the sense that “If I can surf, I can do anything!”
All equipment, including surfboards, wetsuits and life vests are provided for this event. And, again, siblings are more than welcome to register.
