The Ridge Reaper Trail Runs is a NEW race for 2026! Set in the historic Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, a 4000+ acre preserve in Cross River, NY, located just 50 miles north of NYC. The park has mostly wooded trails, with a variety of both technical singletrack and wide carriage roads.
Ward Pound is home to the famous Leatherman’s Loop, a 10K trail race held every April since 1987, that has 1000+ finishers every year, the largest single distance trail race east of the Mississippi River.
The vast majority of the course is very runnable. While the climbs are not super long, you still have to earn that view to the stunning vistas at the top. The Ridge Reaper will offer 3 different distances: 25K (2K+ elevation), 50K (4K+ elevation) and a 50M (7K elevation).
