A gentle spin round a regular route of ours to stretch the legs on the day of the winter solstice. Start at the Cramond Inn, out past Craigie Farm towards Kirkliston, Winchburgh, up Binny climb (hip flask wee dram at the top), and home via Ochiltree, Faucheldean and back - about 23 miles. Start in the car park out the front of the pub, riding at 7pm sharp. Couple of pints afterwards (in the Miller and Carter Cramond Brig). Lights and usual gubbins needed obviously. About 35-40 hardy folk normally. Can shorten if the weather is shite, and a 'no drop' steady pace - and can split into two (quicker/slower) groups if that helps. Oviously FREE and no sign-up needed. Santa hats and lights/tinsel decorated bikes recommended! ?
