The Barnstormers Theater proudly presents Ride the Cyclone, the darkly funny and unexpectedly heartfelt musical by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, running October 24, 25, 31, and November 1 with Friday performances at 7:30pm and Saturday performances at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.
After a tragic roller coaster accident, six Canadian teenagers find themselves in limbo, where a fortune-telling machine named the Amazing Karnack gives them one last chance to share their stories—and compete for a second shot at life. With a wildly eclectic score spanning pop ballads, hip-hop, cabaret, and rock, this cult favorite balances humor, heartbreak, and hope in a ride you’ll never forget.
Originally produced in Canada by Atomic Vaudeville and later developed by Kevin McCollum and Morris Berchard, Ride the Cyclone has exploded in popularity in recent years. In 2022, a viral TikTok clip of Emily Rohm performing “The Ballad of Jane Doe” introduced the show to Gen Z audiences worldwide, sparking fan art, cosplay, and theories that cemented the musical’s cult status.
Tickets are $20 and advance purchase is highly recommended. Due to mature themes and language, this production is recommended for ages 13 and up.
