Ride for Re-entry Benefitting CrossWallk Center

Houston Texas (Sept. 29 2021) – Motorcyclists will gather on Saturday Oct. 23 2021 for the first-ever “Ride for Re-entry” to benefit CrossWalk Center a Houston-based nonprofit geared towards ending the cycle of recidivism. Motorcyclists will depart from Mancuso Crossroads in west Houston and ride to Scotty’s Saloon in Richmond to support men and women newly released from prison.

“We are looking forward to the ‘Ride for Re-entry’ as a unique way to raise awareness of and funds for CrossWalk Center – a safe haven for individuals after time spent in prison” said Kathy Vosburg executive director of CrossWalk Center. “Returning citizens face a myriad of obstacles when they are released from prison. CrossWalk Center looks to fill that gap providing practical resources such as housing access to employment and dependable transportation but also emotional and spiritual support too.”  

The nonprofit which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary aims to raise $20000 through the “Ride for Re-Entry.” 

Riders will depart from Mancuso Crossroads located at 12710 Crossroads Park Drive in Houston at 10:30 a.m. Onsite registration begins at 9 a.m. and Mancuso will provide breakfast. The “Ride for Re-Entry” will conclude at Scott’s Saloon OTP 114 Agnes in Richmond where participants will be treated to a BBQ lunch. Door prizes and entertainment also will be part of the event festivities. 

Registration is currently open and the prices are as follows:

• $100 VIP front of the line (limited to the first 25)
• $30 single rider 
• $50 double rider 

The fee covers breakfast lunch commemorative patch and bandana. T-shirts for the event will be sold separately.
