🏍️ Ride for Gabby 🩵
The motorcycle community has always been at its best when we rally around one of our own. Today, we’re asking you to do just that.
Gabby is only 20 years old and has worked incredibly hard for everything she has accomplished. She is a correctional officer with a huge heart, an infectious personality, and a love for life that inspires everyone around her.
On what should have been a normal day, she was riding to a work meeting she wasn’t even supposed to attend when tragedy struck.
Her motorcycle collided with a tree. The motorcycle went one direction while Gabby was thrown more than 100 feet in the other, where she struck three more trees.
She was airlifted to the hospital and rushed immediately into surgery. Her right leg was so severely injured that doctors believed they would have to amputate it. By the grace of God, they were able to save her leg.
Gabby also suffered:
• A severely mangled right leg
• A broken left leg
• A broken left arm and shoulder
• Multiple fractures to her face and skull
• Fractures to her lower spine
While fighting for her life in the ICU, she required six units of blood. She spent an entire month in intensive care before she was finally released.
Today, Gabby is completely dependent on others for her daily care. She cannot walk and requires around-the-clock assistance as she begins the long road to recovery.
To make matters even more difficult, the week of her accident was the same week she was supposed to enroll in health insurance through her job. Because she had only been employed for six months, she did not qualify for FMLA and has no income while she recovers.
Her mother, a single mom, has brought Gabby home to South Carolina and is working two jobs while providing 24/7 care for Gabby and raising her younger brother. The emotional, physical, and financial burden has been overwhelming, but their determination has never wavered.
If you know Gabby, you know she’s a fighter.
Her goal is simple: heal, walk again, return to her career as a correctional officer, and one day throw a leg back over a motorcycle.
That’s where we come in.
Join Strange Ones Motorsports as we ride in support of Gabby and her family. Every registration, raffle ticket, silent auction bid, donation, and shared post helps ease the financial burden of medical bills, rehabilitation, equipment, and daily living expenses.
Whether you ride a sportbike, cruiser, touring bike, trike, or simply want to come show your support, we invite you to stand with Gabby.
Let’s remind her what the motorcycle community is all about.
Come ride.
Come support.
Come make a difference.
Together, we can help Gabby focus on what matters most—healing.
Keep her in your prayers, keep her in your hearts, and let’s show her that she’s not fighting this battle alone.
